I haven’t blogged on the subject of suicide before but I was guided by spirit to do so now. In the wake of all the celebrities that have recently (and in the past year) we see a more public view of an issue that is always in the shadows of our lives without it being celebrities. Beyond the issue of us seeing though such a time where we may see that money, fame, reputation and what we call success not being enough to give us a sense of joy or peace to alleviate us from depression and fear, this time is a teaching time for sure. Each individual that takes the action of choosing to leave the life of human embodiment behind has their own struggle and pain. We can’t speculate as a public as to why or why not. It is the journey of the soul that has its own specific pathway in each lifetime to learn and unlearn things. Some of us are fraught with pain. Most of us struggle with bouts of sorrow and pain, some chronic, some acute. In the ever loaded internet, smartphone, fast paced world we live in the struggle for joy seems even more troublesome to find. Even with access to positives and apps to help us we search for a sense of wonder and peace only to find it feels even more fleeting now. In my work I have read for people that come in when they have lost a spouse or family member to suicide. Some are issues of brain chemistry some are issues of addiction and shame and some are just fed up with it all. All of these struggles are real for the persons struggling for a sense of peace. We feel their pain and grieve vastly upon their choice to leave this lifetime for good. As a medium I have the strange and rare opportunity to understand (at least in some way) what they are searching for upon the arrival away from this human experience. I know first hand two things; One, that depression and deep sorrow can make you want to leave this world,and two, that spiritual experiences can make you want to stay. I repeat myself to clients world wide that finding a way to go strangely deep in the search for meaning OUTSIDE of what others perception is of “a perfect happiness” and what that means to each person. To discover without shame where our deep shadow is and balm it and bless it by integrating not shaming it. Then to bring as much light and grace in with lots and lots of meditation. Both meditate just like one would think; silent counting of breath to clear and untangle that mind and also to meditate with sound healing and to journey to places that heal us after training with someone who can teach you to ” leave the body” without leaving the body. Meditating on the theme or idea of what is Light and what is Peace with INTENTION AND FOCUS is a good start. Meds and all that can sometimes and often help as does exercise and nature and good diet. Therapy and non judgement for your wounds is imperative. Its obviously a cocktail of different things for many and each person is unique . What my job is to do is remind us wonderful children of the stars is just that, we are stardust and we have chosen to come to this wonderful place to learn how to become an ascended version of our SELVES. To grow in this school of human consciousness to be more loving more understanding and more conscious of our energy and how we share it or refuse it. There is much after this lifetime and that is for each of us to choose to feel and see or not see or feel. There is no judgement on that. To be vulnerable to the point of power in where you can feel the pain of the world but be brave enough to not be frightened of it is the key. One time in meditation my guidance said to me to stop analyzing and issue and just love it with all my essence and I did just that; I began to integrate the pain of a situation and in doing so I could release it more easily than ever before. It may not answer the problem that we are talking of here, but it sure is a start to find out.
There is a vast light in all of us that goes beyond our zip codes and bank accounts. It seeks you just as you seek it. This vast light need not be in the great beyond, it is the pilot light you already have and while there are great people that can help you light it up again, it is up to us individually to look inside and find it. But loving deeply each other is a very good start. Here is a gift I give to you;
That I know in you is a deep well of possibility and that is what I can give you right now……my love and my willingness to help light your way.
“Those who love you are not fooled by mistakes you have made or dark images you hold about yourself. They remember your beauty when you feel ugly; your wholeness when you are broken; your innocence when you feel guilty; and your purpose when you are confused.”
― Alan Cohen
“Scared and sacred are spelled with the same letters. Awful proceeds from the same root word as awesome. Terrify and terrific. Every negative experience holds the seed of transformation.”
